I was so sorry to learn of Danny's death. Danny, Tom Clohesy and I played together for a short time at Union. Tom on bass, Danny & I on guitar. We sang the Eagles' "Best of My Love" and the Band's "The Weight" among others. We played twice at a Union College caberet. I think I still have a tape of one of those performances.
Danny was full of life and lots of fun. We had a blast singing and playing together.
I would love to have kept up with him and regret not having that opportunity now.
My heart goes out to his family.

Hello- I knew Dan Silver through my role as a staff nurse and case manager at St. Vincents Hospital. I also went to see Dan perform on First Night and enjoyed his band . We had many conversations on a variety of subjects, his favorites being his family and his love of music. I always admired his great compassion for his patients, his deep love and devotion for his family and his quick wit and dry sense of humor. My sincerest sympathy to his family, Lauren Gardner R.N.

Dan will be greatly missed. He brightened my day when we ran into each other on the floors.........I called him the candy man because he always had some in his pocket and would share with me. He was a wonderful human being and an inspiration.
God Bless you.

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are falling
'Tis you, 'tis you must go, and we must bide.
...Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, We've all loved you so.
Dear Rosann, Brian, Craig & Michael, You are in our hearts and prayers constantly.
Peace, Danny. Say hello to John & George for us.

I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Silver’s passing. I will always remember him as the kind and generous person he was when I came over to the house to visit Mike and as a player on the soccer team he coached. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
